Hey everybody!  🙂  LOVING that glorious summery weather out there!  Summer is indeed HERE!!!  Yahoo!

Here’s the schedule for IRON HEART INDOOR & OUTDOOR KETTLEBELL BOOTCAMP & KETTLEBELL CLUB ON THE BEACH:

MONDAY:  6 PM KIN BEACH PARK ::: OUTDOOR BOOTCAMP

TUESDAY:  6 PM FITNESS MAXX ::: INDOOR BOOTCAMP

WEDNESDAY:  9 AM LAKEVIEW PARK (PEANUT POOL PARK IN EAST HILL) ::: OUTDOOR BOOTCAMP

THURSDAY:  6 PM FITNESS MAXX ::: INDOOR BOOTCAMP

SATURDAY:  9 AM KIN BEACH (mid way point, ON THE BEACH, on Lakeshore Road) ::: KETTLEBELL CLUB (Saturday August 2nd we are meeting at 9 am instead of the regular 10:30 🙂

 

Iron Heart Indoor & Outdoor Bootcamp:

Want to get super strong, lean & athletic in the most efficient and effective way possible?  Barbells, kettlebells, dumbells, battle ropes, sled work, trx training, core work, metabolic conditioning, strength training, mobility drills…come get it all in 60 minutes with an inspiring group of folks who like to do it right!  Learn kettlebell & weightlifting skills, sweat a lot, laugh a lot, it’s a great time!!  No experience necessary, everyone is welcome, all fitness and skill levels.  Safe, smart & progressive programming by Certified AGATSU Kettlebell Instructor, BCWA Club Coach and BCRPA Personal Trainer Genny Chippendale.  

Vernon Kettlebell Club on the Beach:

Sand + Sun + Kettlebells = one AWESOME workout!!!   Get really strong, really focused, really flexible, improve your balance and core strength, burn fat, build muscle & gain cardio endurance and stamina for days through Kettlebell Training!!!  In this class, every week we will feature a new Kettlebell skill to work on, we’ll learn variations, adaptations and progressions.  You will deepen your kettlebell love, know-how and skills every week with a group of like-minded folks who love it as much as you do 🙂  No experience is necessary, everyone is welcome, all fitness and skill levels.  If it is your first time though, please do contact me prior to class 🙂

Join us Saturday March 15th @12:30pm for a Beginner Level, intro Kettlebell Class!!!

Everyone is welcome, all skill levels, gym member or non-gym members, it doesn’t matter, this is open to all who want to learn kettlebell sport, improve their skills and learn some new ones and swing with some awesome, like-minded folks!

Come to the beginner class on March 15th, try it out, see for yourself why Kettlebell training is taking off in popularity like crazy – there is very GOOD reason for it!!!  If you like it, join us every week!  Vernon Kettlebbell Club happens every Saturday at 10:30, and under the careful guidance and instruction of an experienced and certified Agatsu Kettlebell Instructor, expect lots of kettlebell swinging, squatting, pressing, snatching, windmills, Turkish get-up’s and so much more!!!  We’ll do it all in a very safe and progressive way that works for first timers or for those working towards competing in Kettlebell Sport competition and everyone else in between 🙂

When:  Saturday March 15th @12:30

Where:  Fitness Maxx (not member exclusive, this is open to everyone!:) and then once the weather is nice, I will be hosting classes in the park and at the beach again this year, it was ahhhhhmazing last year and we can’t wait to get back out there!

Cost:  $15 drop in or $120/10x punch pass.  Returning kettlebell-er?  To say thank you for loyalty and business, bring a friend and your session is on me :)

Is this for me?:  YES!  Everyone can participate, all ages, all genders, all fitness levels, even those with back/shoulder issues can do it and do it well, while healing their injuries in the process.

Kettlebell sport is one of the most effective, safe & FUN ways to build a rock solid core, burn tonnes of calories and decrease body fat, increase your strength, endurance, mobility and flexibility all while learn a new and interesting sport in the company of some awesome people and oh yeah, burn massive calories while doing it!!! :)

What can I expect?:  Quality, personalized instruction in a friendly and fun group setting, together we’ll learn and work towards your specific goals and have a great time doing it 🙂   In the one hour session we’ll go through joint mobility drills and a good dynamic warm up, then get into the skill of the week and the workout and then finish off with a relaxing and effective stretch.  You’ll get your cardio, strength, core work & mobility/stretch and leave feeling accomplished and energized and excited to enjoy the rest of the weekend ahead!

So,  with this mildly springy weather we’ve been flirting with for the past week or so, I’ve started some serious spring cleaning at my place.  Plastic bins and bags are out and they’re being filled with stuff that I plan to be donating – and one spot in the house that surprised me was that drawer under the bathroom sink – you know the one that has a bazillion extra bottles of shampoo or random makeup or lotion that you’re stocking up on or saving or have been given as a gift that you know you’ll NEVER use??  Well, that got me thinking – who else has a bin full of this stuff??  I should ask my lady friends!  And then we should all put it all together and give it to some other ladies who need it!  So this leads me to an idea – this Saturday’s Vernon Kettlebell Club is being called:

 

Bring Some to Swing Some!!!! 

Yes, we’re going to be Kettlebellin’ for a Cause!

Instead of a drop in fee, bring a bag of new, unused toiletries, cosmetics, etc OR gently used workout gear or shoes OR clothing and come swing for free!  Let’s see how much we can gather up and then we can donate it to Vernon women who could use some nice things to make themselves look and feel good!  So bring friends, everyone is welcome!!  Gentlemen, you are welcome too, bring what you can or pay the drop in fee, all proceeds will go to charity this day 🙂

Safe for all levels, from beginner to advanced, we’ll all get a great workout and as always, have SO much fun doing it!
